Art And Design

We offer a wide variety of classes which bring out the artistic talents of our students. This department offers tuition in advanced computer programmes, such as Adobe Photoshop, as well as creative classes such as ceramics, drawing and computer graphics.  Our students design posters and brochures for different school events such as the school prom, open days and school drama performances.
   

The objective of the Performing Arts Department's programme is to develop skilled and disciplined Theatre Arts students who possess a standard of excellence and an appreciation of artistic integrity. The Performing Arts Department strives to challenge students both artistically and intellectually, so that they may become critical and creative thinkers, while developing professional skills and attitudes.

The curriculum of the Performing Arts Department includes Acting and Musical Theatre, combining rigorous training of the mind, body and voice, forming a solid technique and approach to the craft. In addition to actor training, students also develop an understanding and appreciation of design and production.

The acting programme emphasises work in character analysis and interpretation, improvisation and scene study. Advanced acting courses combine scene study analysis and synthesis, analysis of dramatic literature, theatre history and performance to provide students with a comprehensive background, preparing them for their IB studies.

Every year there is a Musical Production and all students have the chance to audition for a part in it. Throughout the year all grades are involved in various performances, concerts and short plays.
